A diverse collection of works created by five woodworking studios based in Okinawa comes together in this exhibition, featuring furniture, tableware, cutlery, and objects that bring warmth and character to everyday life.The beauty of wood lies not only in its natural grain, colors, and textures, but also in the richness it acquires over time through use.
Although they work with the same material, each studio approaches form, finish, and craftsmanship in its own way. The individuality of each maker is reflected in every piece, shaped through daily practice and a deep dialogue with wood.
Through the work of these five studios, nurtured by the climate and culture of Okinawa, we hope visitors will discover the warmth of wood, the beauty of craftsmanship, and the quiet richness found in everyday life.
